Objectives:

• To conduct environmental quality assessment and determine the fate of pollutants in the terrestrial ecosystems.
  
• To evaluate effective treatment technologies for industrial and domestic waste for cost effective remediation.
  
• To enhance the established Environment Information System (EIS) and develop research tools for use in conducting EIA’s.
  
• To conduct research on the bioavailability of pollutants in marine ecosystem.
