To provide high quality applied research solutions and training, in order to promote a prosperous and sustainable economy and society.
At TED we stress applied practical analysis for improving standards of living of the society and make our findings accessible to the general public and policy makers.

Objectives:

Conduct techno-economic research and studies, and applying economic and mathematical models and quantitative methods to support Kuwait’s developmental sectors.
This main objective is achieved through the departments that make up this division: The Economic Studies Department (ESD) and the Quantitative Methods and Modeling Department (QM&MD), each has its set of objectives:

Economic Studies Department ESD

• Studies related to privatization, globalization, and energy.
• Developing indicators for the health, education, energy, and industrial sectors.
• Developing business plans and market analysis for prospective investment opportunities.

Quantitative Methods and Modeling Department QM&MD

• Developing decision support tools to optimize resource allocation in the service and industrial sectors.
  
• Developing web-based applications for mathematical and economical models, and providing research and applied support to the public and private sectors.
  
• Conducting feasibility studies , statistical and econometric analysis, experimental design, and mathematical modeling for research projects at KISR.
