Are there any specific procedures for preparing samples before submission? |

Samples should be properly packed and labeled. Specific procedure for sample preparation could be discussed with Quality Control/Quality Assurance section at previously mentioned phone numbers. |

No, there is no minimum charge for testing. |

Can I have more than one test on the same sample? |

Yes, it is possible to carry out more than one test on the same sample. However, it depends on nature of test and quantity of sample. |

What is a blank sample? Why is it reported with my sample results? |
| A. |
Blank sample is a sample which does not contain the actual analyte. However, it contains all other ingredients which the actual sample has, and it is prepared in the same way as the actual sample is prepared. It is reported to correct the values of actual sample. |

How many days it will take to complete the analysis? |
| A. |
For normal analysis, the job will be completed in 8 – 10 working days, after receiving the samples, depending on the number of samples and type of analytical methodologies. For urgent analysis, the job will be completed in 4 – 5 working days, after receiving the samples, depending on the number of samples and type of analytical methodologies. The price would be doubled for urgent analysis. The analysis may take longer time due to any unavoidable circumstances. |

How could I know the status of analysis? |
| A. |
CAL office will inform you when the job will be completed. However, you can check the status of your job by calling CAL’s office phone numbers 24989061/2/3 and Quality Control/Quality Assurance section at phone numbers mentioned previously. |

How can I pay the cost of analysis? |
| A. |
Payment is to be made in advance, to the finance department of KISR through cash/cheuqe. |

How are the results delivered? |
| A. |
Analysis report could be collected from CAL office from 08:30 AM to 02:30 PM in working days (Sunday to Thursday). |

Who can be contact regarding any clarification about the analytical results? |
| A. |
For any inquiry about analysis results, contact with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance section at previously mentioned phone numbers, within two week after receiving the results. |

Can I take back my samples? |
| A. |
Yes, within two weeks after receiving the results. The samples are kept for 2 weeks for any re-checking (if required). CAL would not be responsible for samples after two weeks. |

Are there any other tests that you can perform but not included in the online request form? |
| A. |
Yes. There are number of specialized tests (rarely required by the clients) which we can perform but they are not included in the online test request form. |

Yes, you have to tell us what type of materials to be tested and the relevant standard specifications. |

What standard do you use for analysis? |

We follow ASTM, BS, USEPA, USFDA, AWWA, ISO and other standard test procedures for carrying out different tests on different types of samples. |
