The International Conference on Women in Science and Technology for the Developing World concluded its activities. This event was co-organized by the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World(OWSD). The conference was funded by a generous support from its sponsors, who belong to various local, regional, and international establishments and organizations, as well as private sector’s institutions. The conference comprised four aspects, namely agriculture and food security, environment and sustainable development, science and technology, and women and leadership.

The conference also included 13 booths for the production and accomplishments of the sponsoring companies and institutions. In addition, Young people participated in the exhibition to display their accomplishments within small enterprises and free-lance jobs. The exhibition also comprised numerous workshops on various aspects; it included 136 scientific presentations, 243 scientific posters, and 15 key presentations.
