The Water Research Center applies KISR's multidisciplinary approach to address some of Kuwait's most crucial challenges in water resource management and develop innovative desalination technologies. WRC is the focal point of KISR's research, policy, and technical service activities in support of Kuwait's water requirements. The center's strategy includes programs focused on making breakthroughs in desalination technologies to meet the need for potable water while mitigating the environmental footprint. The center also addresses Kuwait's need to replenish its water reserves and is developing solutions for the reclamation of wastewater streams, as well as strategies to optimize the operations of freshwater distribution networks without compromising the lifestyle and well-being of the Kuwaiti society.
