Environmental Pollution and Climate Program

The Environmental Pollution and Climate (EPC) Program was developed to assess challenges concerning Kuwait’s atmospheric, aquatic, and terrestrial environment from oil and non-oil pollution and climate change. The program supports the sustainable management of Kuwait’s environment by working with policy makers to ensure that the nation’s industrial practices are in compliance with international standards and the policies are underpinned by strong scientific evidence. The EPC Program works to improve waste management in Kuwait by conducting research to understand emerging pollutants and evaluating the effectiveness of current efforts to mitigate pollution.
