Developing a Rubberized Asphalt Pilot Project
Introducing new technologies to improve paved surfaces
The frequency of pavement failures on Kuwait’s asphalt highways and inner city roads demonstrates the need for new alternative pavement systems that prolong the life cycle of asphalt coating and minimize maintenance. Understanding the need for a high performing and durable road surface, the CBM Program and the Ministry of Public Works are collaborating on a project to introduce and investigate the effectiveness of using rubberized hot mix asphalt (HMA) to improve the performance of road surfaces in Kuwait.
