Refining Capacity Expansion and Flexibility

The Refining Capacity Expansion and Flexibility (RCEF) Program supports Kuwait’s oil industry by developing new products from refining to extend the throughput of national refineries and improving their ability to more effectively adjust to changing market demands. The RCEF Program also conducts research to reduce the cost of waste treatment and emission control as well as researching how best to reduce energy requirements of the oil sector. In addition, the Program contributes significant amount of its research efforts toward developing alternative processing options using novel processes or processing schemes.
