Identification of Corrosion Resistant Materials and Preventative Treatment Protocols

This is a 39-month project funded by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). The aim of this study is to investigate and recommend alternative materials based on their corrosion resistance for the sweet corrosion environment of Lower Burgan reservoir in northern Kuwait. In addition, the performance of the currently applied inhibitor will be compared with two candidate inhibitors to recommend an optimum corrosion treatment for such a reservoir.
