Impact of Heavy Crude Processing on the Catalyst Systems of Diesel Hydrotreating Unit (DHTU) and ARDS for the New Refinery Project (NRP)
Optimizing refinery operating systems
This project was initiated to assess the hydrotreating performance of new feedstocks (heavy feedstock) over new catalyst systems for the NRP. The optimized operating conditions (temp., pressure, LHSV, TOS etc.) lead to the production of clean diesel fuel. The project investigated the impact of crude oil properties on deep HDS, catalyst deactivation, blending technology, and optimization of process parameters and the catalyst system.
