Effect of Changing Photoperiod and Water Temperature on Spawning Season of Sobaity

For any commercially viable aquaculture enterprise of any selected species, the availability of fingerlings all year round is crucial. A technique for providing good quality Sobaity eggs all year round was developed by controlling the spawning season through photothermal manipulation. This system is a known international practice to achieve this availability of fish frys and has been adopted locally since its successful demonstration.
