Emergency System for Simulation of Accidental Explosions and Toxic Release
Predicting environmental hazard
Accidental fires, explosions, and releases of toxic material owing to industrial chemical processes cause serious damage to human health and environmental quality. Therefore, establishing an emergency response system to simulate these accidents is important to minimize the human and properties losses. Such a system can provide state-of-the-art, science-based tools for numerical simulation of all aspects also to real industrial accidents. The system proposed here will link to a shared database containing the physical and chemical properties of all materials. The system can create different accident scenarios and assess the potential damage caused by typical industrial accidents.
