UN Compensation for 1990 Iraqi Aggression

As a testament to KISR’s expertise in environmental remediation, KISR was selected to supervise the studies conducted by the Consortium of International Consultants (CIC) authorized by the Public Authority for the Assessment of Compensation (PAAC) to assess the compensation to be provided to Kuwait following the damages done to the environment during Iraq’s invasion and occupation of Kuwait in 1990. The studies monitored and assessed the damage done to Kuwait’s marine environment and the reports were submitted to the UN for consideration. As a result of these studies, the UN awarded compensation for environmental rehabilitation.
